 My father was an architect in the Philippines and had his own architectural firm. At a very young age, I was surrounded by sketches and blueprints, visited construction sites and client meetings or just exposed to anything about architecture. Architecture was ingrained in me without me realizing it.   

My father believed that home is where the heart is, resulting in most of his projects being residential. He triumphed in establishing and growing our company despite facing numerous challenges. My father was aware of the difficulties, setbacks, and obstacles that a business faces. During my early years taking up architecture, My father discouraged me from asking help with schoolwork. He believed that these are basic tools which I need to develop to succeed in my chosen field. He taught me to become independent, and this independence has made me stronger and shaped who I am today. I was taught the significance of resilience and perseverance. He held the belief that setbacks were not a sign of failure but rather an opportunity for growth. When faced with adversity, he reminded me to remain determined, pick myself up, and keep pushing forward. The ability to face challenges head-on, adapt to new situations, and persist in the pursuit of my goals has been a defining aspect of my identity, and I owe it to the lessons imparted by my father.  

 To honor my father, Architect Lorenzo G. Villarosa, the greatest architect-builder I have ever known, the person who inspired me to become an entrepreneur, as well as the most generous leader on his team, your legacy will live on forever.
